As the official keeper of fish, bird and big game records in Alberta, it is with a great sense of pride that the Beaver River Fish and Game Association welcomes hunters and anglers to submit entries into the Annual Banquet Awards. Open to all member in good standing and legally taking a fish, bird, or big game species in the Province of Alberta.
The annual competition runs from January 1st to December 31st in any given year. The deadline for receiving entries is Jan 1st of the following year.
The Hunting/ Archery Awards will be recognized from the Buck Fever Night the year prior. Fish and Photography pictures are to be Emailed to BRFGpictures@gmail.com
Effective January 01, 2018, all sportfishing entries for record purposes will be based on LENGTH ONLY. Catch and release or size limits are common angling regulations put in place for fishery management purposes. The BRFGA supports selective harvest of fish. Large fish are rare and an important genetic resource. Even when legal to retain, the BRFGA encourages anglers to release these fish. For successful release, minimal handling is essential. For these reasons the BRFGA is adopting a record format for SPORTFISHING based on LENGTH ONLY. Pictures must be clear and Show to entire fish on the measuring tape/devise
